FZX air filter restrictor for Yamaha FZX - 3D model after the Yamaha part number 2AK-14437-00 pattern.
This is a somewhat special part. This part sits in the top of the air filter an restricts air flow. When changing air filters it often gets overlooked and thrown away with the old air filter.
Problem is, that the stock FZX carbs are tuned for an air filter with this restrictor and the mixture gets leaner to the point of a massively overheated engine at prolonged highway speeds.
So, if your FZX has the duct in the air filter missing or you have thrown yours away yourself, you can get a new one here. Or you can tune the carbs to the FZ750 spec (105 and or 102.5 jets along with some changes to the needle setting)
As this part is somewhat important and not so complex to model, I have the 3D model free for download along with a 2D drawing, if someone wants to recreate it.
