Xian JZY-01

The Xian JZY-01 is an AWACS/AEW carrier-borne turboprop aircraft currently being developed by the Xi'an Aircraft Industrial Corporation, with the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) as the likely launch customer. The aircraft is currently under development, so information on it's capabilities or date of IOC is scarce. It is derived as a variant of the Y-7 transport aircraft, which in turn is derived from the Antonov An-24 family. The name JZY stands for Jian (舰) Zai (载) Yu (预), meaning carrier borne AEW.
   This scale model was created on request. Some artistic license was applied due to the limited information available in the public domain on the aircraft's exterior features, dimensions, or profile/shape.
