This is a
smartphone holder I made for my
2018 Toyota Yaris.
It can hold
smartphone with maximum width of 72 mm.
I tried to use the elasticity of the material for the inner moving parts, to lock the phone firmly when it's in place.
I made also an interlocking cap that helps guide your smartphone in place.
It fits in the front central cups holder tray and it can be secured with 4 M3 screws and nuts to the cups holder tray.
Here you can find an official
PDF guide to remove the central console.
Extra Tip for PRO Makers: while removing the central console I decide to make a hole for this USB C cable (S3B - T2A terminals 30 cm long) in order to connect Android Auto automatically when I insert the smartphone into the holder. The usb A socket of the car needs 180° rotation to fit nicely with the usb A plug orientation of this cable. You have to push the USB port out of its place, rotate 180° and then put it back in place. You can have access to the USB port by removing the glove box.
