Product Description

"Miss Demeanor" HO Slot Car body fits Aurora T-Jet chassis.

NOTE: This version will NOT fit the HWP or BW-Mk1 Chassis. (The HWP version is available here: http://shpws.me/OqxW)

Front axle is set in front of the chassis. The builder will need to supply their own motor and exhaust pipes from a donor diecast car of their choice (Hot Wheels, Matchbox, or resin cast).

"Strong and Flexible" plastics have a gritty surface and will require priming with a couple of light coats of a spray filler/primer like Rustoleum. Sand between coats with fine grit paper, ending with a final 1000+ grit wet sand. Then color and clear coat for a super smooth finish. The black strong and flexible plastic is surface dyed. If you plan to paint your model, just order it in white plastic and save $1.

Black Acrylate Resin plastic is considerably smoother, which should provide a glass smooth finish with far less effort than the Stong and Flexible material. Sands like styrene, so go lightly! The plastic may be a little more brittle than the nylon... it hasn't been crash tested yet! ;)

I'd recommend using a narrower diameter front axle than the standard T-Jet. You have to drill the deliberately undersized holes to your specs. Use a drill bit the size of your axle, and twist it through by hand. Start with a smaller bit and work your way up to the size need for your axle.

The center bar through the engine compartment is there just for additional support during printing. Snip it out to make room for your choice of "show" engine. I hear Hot Wheels has some nice options! Note: you'll need a mini machine bolt and nut in leiu of a front screw post to hold together the guidepin, chassis, and body. You can find them at nearly any local hardware store.

Show off your modelling skills! Send me pics of your builds, and I'll include them in the photo gallery with your name in the caption if you like.
