Dash Radio HVAC Separator Repair for a VW MK1

For all you Mk1 VW owners that have brittle and broken dash boards.
If the separator between the Radio and HVAC has broken off, here's a part that will help repair your dash.

On the rear side are strengtheners that you can use to line up the  piece to ensure perfect placement and give you an attachment point for glue.

Directions:
1. Using a dremel or sharp razor/knife, remove the broken piece from the dash.  Avoid breaking it off with force to avoid further damage and ensure a clean smooth connection for the new piece.  If you use a dremel, make sure that you remove any excess plastic to ensure a smooth surface and connection point.
2. With no glue, take the repair piece and Insert in the dash to ensure a good fit, trim any parts as needed.
3. Using most any brand of super glue or plastic glue, place glue on the back of the sides and lower connector.
4. Place on to the dash aligning the side connectors between the old strengthening sections on each side.
5. Press in place and allow ample time for the glue to adhere and cure per directions of the product you used.
6. Enjoy your repaired dash!
