Product Description
The 0-4-2 ‘Large Samson’ class was an enlarged version of the Liverpool & Manchester Railway’s 0-4-0 ‘Samson’ locomotives (separately available), the most famous of which is star of the film ‘The Titfield Thunderbolt’ Lion. Lion, however, has undergone multiple rebuilds (also available) so this model provides a more accurate depiction of this class as originally built.
Combined with the N Gauge Planet Tender (separately available), this scratch aid enables an unpowered free-rolling model engine. Coupled to the motorised Liverpool and Manchester Railway coach or motorised flatbed (each separately available, plus free-rolling coaches and trucks), a fully working 'Era 1' N Gauge train can be created.
