A 3d model of a slice from the Hopf fibration. Each circle represent a pre-image of a point on a sphere.
Only pre-image of one meridian on the sphere is presented. some of the circle are in complite due to size limitations. Inparticular the pre-image of the north pole (wich is a line and not a circle) become a segment.
This version include preimeges of 25 points of each side of the meridian. The name come from the fact that the form of the model resemle spider.
