Product Description
This is a saddle and post for building ambisonic microphones into a BM-800 style mic body. The post is designed to take four Primo EM204 capsules. Wires route through two 3mm diameter holes on either side of the post, and down through a 5mm tube that runs the length of the post.
The capsules can be mounted into the saddles using E6000 or similar adhesive. Warning: Once the capsules are glued in place, access to the rear side for soldering is extremely restricted. Solder the wires on first!
To mount the post to the microphone frame, slide four DuBro anti-vibration servo grommets into the slots in the base. The BM-800 frames are drilled and tapped to take M2.5 screws. M2.5x6mm screws are the shortest that will pass through the grommets and still engage the mic frame to full depth. M2.5x8mm screws are easier to use.
