HOn3 29' Skeleton Log Car

This is a one-piece print of a skeleton logging car, typical of those used by narrow gauge logging railroads in the late 19th and early 20th century.   Overall length of the center beam is 29 scale feet; width is 8 feet across the bunks.  Coupler pockets are built in to accommodate Kadee #714 HOn3 couplers.  Bolsters are sized for Micro -Trains HOn3 Arch Bar 00502000 (890) trucks, but can also be mounted with any HO scale arch bar trucks for standard gauge operation.   Cheese blocks, cover plates, and plank detailing are included.  The underside of the center beam is hollowed out to provide space for weights.   To complete the model, you will need trucks and couplers as mentioned, scale chain, and logs.   You may also wish to add brake details and a brake wheel.
