Taillight buckets that are compatible with the C10 Truckbed or able to be used standalone. These taillight buckets have 3 holes cut out into them for 3mm LEDs. This will enable you to install taillights/brake lights, reverse lights, and turn signals if you use a light controller.
Installation:
- You must carefully remove the paint behind the taillight stickers without damaging the paint of the body outside of the taillight stickers or else no light will shine through. I used a small flat head screwdriver to carefully scratch the paint off. Might not be the best way to do it, but it worked for me and I cannot notice any scratch marks in the plastic.
- Attach the taillight buckets to the body using some double-sided tape or attach by integrating it with the TRSH PNDA R/C truckbed *sold separately*.
- I recommend using 3m branded tape as in my experience it has been less likely to damage the paint when removed. Some other brands may take off your paint if removed later.
I recommend the
laneboysrc light controller to power your scx24 c10 lighting needs. Plans to build it are free on github if you are able, and if you need help, you can email the creator and he can sell one to you. It's also one of the most versatile and customizable rc light controllers I've seen. The controller does require that you solder your own LEDs as it does not require resistors on LEDs like other light controllers do. *I'm not being paid for this endorsement, I just really like the light controller*
