Product Description
These flag stations, designed in 1902 for Milton, PEI, found use in numerous locations along the Prince Edward Island railway. They were used as replacements for the original 1870s flag stations, and were also built along the new Murray Harbor and Montague branches in 1904-1905.
This model reflects the as-built appearance, and includes the original "saloon" style doors and the full size doors that replaced them.
A number of these stations lasted in near- original condition in service into the early 1960s. Several were upgraded with a proper door and a small window on the waiting room end. Following termination of passenger service, several found their way onto farms as storage buildings, and at least one (modified) served as a section shed at Lake Verde until abandonment.
