Product Description
Designed by George Stephenson, Locomotion No. 1 remains an icon of the early railways.  Hauling the inaugural train on the Stockton & Darlington Railway of 1825 – the first public railway – it was a notable advance in locomotive design, notably through the use of coupling rods linking the wheels.  The original engine is now on display at Darlington while a replica exists at Beamish museum.

Combined with the Locomotion loco and component pack (each separately available), this scratch aid enables an unpowered free-rolling model engine that can be used with the various motorised coaches/trucks also available.

Necessary to Complete:
Graham Farish wagon wheels
Couplings (the method used is at the builder's discretion)
Weight

I hope you enjoy this unusual and eye-catching model.
