Product Description
This bogie is for the generic 00 gauge Graham Farish coaches that were produced in a variety of liveries during the 1970s and NOT the n gauge versions.
These coaches had a non standard tension lock coupling which can cause issues when used with vehicles with other types. I have therefore produced these replacements with NEM pockets allowing alternative couplings to be fitted (not supplied).
Although the GWR versions of these coaches did not follow any specific prototype, I have based th bogie's appearence on the GWR "Fishbelly" bogie as the original Grafar bogies have a distinct LMS/Southern feel to them.
As these coaches are becomming collectable, I chose to replace the whole bogie so no modification is required to any of the original Grafar components thereby making the converion reverseable.
To fit, simply pull out the large plastic pin that secures the original bogies to the coach and swap the bogies over. Aside from the couiplings of your choice*, 14.1mm coach wheels will also be reqiored.
* This product was designed for use with the Hornby R8268 and R8276, large and medium width couplings and will also work with the R8219 Hornby NEM coupling. However it will not work with the R8220 Hornby NEM pocket close coupling. This bogie has not been tested using Kadee or any other type of coupling.
