The Malta-Class CV was a proposed carrier of the Royal Navy that never realized. As with the CVA-01 the British had abandoned heavy carriers in favor of light carriers to save cost. However if such a carrier was built, then like the USS Midway it probably would have gone through some major overhaul later to extend its serviceable life. The most speculated modification would have been the addition of an angled deck which facilitates the closures of some of the opened hanger deck, giving the ship a more modern look.
Note that due to contrasting impressions of both the original proposal and the modifications, a multitude of artistic licenses are taken.
