Hummingbird Pendant

In 2013, when I was doing one of my personal challenges, I asked my wife if she could have anything, what would she like. She told me she wanted a hummingbird. It took me a year until I sat down to actually make this version. It's not quite what I had envisioned when I first asked her the question, but the simplicity of the design here hit me recently, so I went for this. I may still do a more "true" form later on, but I like this one for now. Created in Blender originally using curves, then retopologized. A lot of tweaking and going back and forth until I got a model that still looked right, would hang pretty close to right, and would work within the parameters of the metal materials I was aiming to be able to print this in.
