Product Description
This N Gauge 4-wheel loco bogie is intended as an aid to scratchbuilders or as an additional option for use with kits. Two versions are included (two of each):
Blank end for either no coupling or one made of wire (locating hole provided)
Or
Lipped end for use with NEM pockets. Depending on the wheels fitted plastic shims can be used to ensure the correct relative height. For added strength some plastic strip can be glued above the NEM pocket so joining it to the bogie component at both top and bottom.
Necessary to Complete:
Wheels (such as Farish spoked wagon wheels or locomotive bogie wheels – particularly the larger display type). NOTE this variable will affect the final height of the bogie.
Draw bar (drilled brass or plastic strip to enable free turning)
Plastic strip (to secure wheels and top of NEM coupling)
Pins (for draw bar – fitting hole provided)
Wire or NEM coupling
Weight (a central recess is present)
IMPORTANT: while most models available here have been pre-tested and known to work, this scratch-aid has not been printed/tested by myself, so while the measurements appear correct it is considered strictly experimental.
