HOn3 38' Skeleton Log Car (Westside Lumber)

This is a one-piece print of a 38' skeleton logging car, such as used by Westside Lumber in California and other western roads.   Overall length of the center beam is 38 scale feet; width is 8 feet across the bunks.  Coupler pockets are built in to accommodate Kadee #714 HOn3 couplers.  Bolsters are sized for Micro -Trains HOn3 Arch Bar 00502000 (890) trucks, but can also be mounted on any HO scale arch bar trucks for standard gauge operation.  Model includes cheese blocks, log bunk hardware, and center beam plank details.  The underside of the center beam is hollowed out to provide space for weights.   To complete the model, you will need trucks and couplers as mentioned, scale chain, and logs.   You may also want to add brake details and a brake wheel.
