Product Description
* Black Templar shoulder icons made for the Space Marine of a more Crusading nature.
Spruce up your new marines with some Black Templar Shoulder iconography!
* These Icons have been designed to 'perfectly' match the geometry of the standard Space Marine shoulder pad. In this regard, the icon will effectively 'grip' onto its most natural position on the shoulderpads geometry and it will be possible to repeat a perfect fit each time, with minimal effort.
* The Icons are only 0.35mm thick and have been made as an alternative for transfers in mind.
In this regard, they are truly 'slim fit' while still providing crisp edges and a clean surface to easily apply your paints, to give it that professional 'fresh off the assembly line' feeling and clearly stand out from the underlying paint on the rounded surface. The design itself is the most simplified version of the Maltese cross, which is the most prominent version associated with the Black Templars, so it can be used for basically any Black Templar marine in any situation.
(More designs may follow in the future, depending on demand)
* The design was made for standard space marine shoulder pads. This means that they will fit any shoulderpad that shares this geometry, even with added decoration as well, as long as there is enough room for the plate to be placed.
This way, you can buy more GW kits and enjoy the new quality while also staying true to the Black Templar feel of your army :)
Addendum:
* Due to popular request, I have adjusted the design to fit both standard Firstborn 'AND' Primaris shoulderpads ;)
* For easier usage, i suggest the following:
1) Leave the icon on the sprue as this will give you a better handle. Note that the top of the icon is 'always' pointed towards the center beam of the sprue.
2) Dry fit the shoulderpad onto the icon while on the sprue, only glue it down when you are satisfied.
3) After being secured onto the shoulderpad, remove the sprue from the icon with a set of flush clippers and if needed, lightly sand down the surface of the icon to smooth it out.
* A single purchase will contain enough shoulder icons to fit 10 marines (so 20 icons in total) !
