1/50 Jersey Barrier (10 ft/3m) [3 Pack]

3 pack of the 1/50 scale concrete 10ft/3m Jersey Barrier. Includes three interlockable Jersey Barriers with forklift and crane lifting points and two blanking plates (used to close off the hollow model). Pieces are attached together by sprue. Suitable for 1/50 scale diecast construction models/dioramas, 1/48 scale modeling, or 0 scale model train layouts.

Notes:

1. To save on material costs, the barrier was made hollow and thus may not be suitable for situations where the underside will be visible.
2. To address this, this pack includes two blanking plates (usually sold separately).
3. The interlocking mechanism and blanking plates are modeled with some tolerance to account for print resolution. However, depending on the print, sanding may be needed for them to fit together.
4. For best realism, the barrier should be painted in concrete grey.
5. The barrier is modeled with no damage. For additional realism, damage may be added to the model according to reference photos.

 

Post Production Notes:

1. Depending on the print, the lifting holes may be filled with some unsintered powder and may not be perfectly round. To address this, simply drill out the holes with a 1.2mm drill bit.
2. As the plastic used by Shapeways is very tough, side cutters or a razor saw may be necessary to separate the parts from the sprues.
