Please check your references to verify which arrangement the Fletcher you are modeling carried.

 

The main mounting hole for the modeler supplied 40mm Bofors is 1 mm in diameter. The mounting hole for the modeler supplied Mark 51 director is 0.5 mm in diameter.

 

These ships had many different variations of hatches and doors, so use the photoetched doors of your choice and preferred style to cover up the openings indicating where those doors or hatches were in real life. Check your references to ensure that you are using the correct door for your ship - again, there were MANY differences and variations.

 

Clean the part carefully with lukewarm soapy water and a SOFT toothbrush or similar, and allow to dry. Paint using regular acrylic modeling paints. Consider painting the interior, as well, to ensure light-tightness.
