Limbs thickened for durability and home casting.
True fans will note that this distorts the features a fair bit but at 6mm scale the 'chibi' practice of thickening limbs and heads is pretty standard. True fans will also note that they only vaguley look like Stormtroopers 'close up' and this is because the Intellectual Property for the Star Wars Stormtrooper is owned by Disney- although many SW designs are featured on Shapeways the legal status of them is questionable and I fully expect people will have to remove them some day and so I wanted armored storm troopers I could use with my 'Colony' comic book project as well.
