Phantom SnowShoe

Snowshoe for the Phantom drone by DJI. This accessory lets you launch and land your drone from sand and snow. The large surface area prevents the Phantom from sinking into soft surfaces. My favorite places to fly are at the ocean and in the mountains. That means either sand or snow. I've always had to carry a launch platform and just hand catch the drone on landing. This accessory, the "SnowShoe" allows me to land and take off in those conditions, greatly improving my ability to operate in those environments. This accessory prints quickly due to it's low profile design. It fits on a standard AirWolf printer bed. Installation is quick and secure with 4 zip ties locking the shoe onto the skids. Originally, I incorporated a snap on design, but found it difficult to use and opted for a zip-tie only approach. Check out the video for installation and a quick test flight.
