You may want to protect your coaster(s) with a spray lacquer or other coating prior to use to prevent stains or permanent discoloring depending on your use.

This test coaster is an experimental version having a thickness of 1mm everywhere and a minimal material engraving technique to reduce cost.  The wavy pattern prevents such a thin coaster from being warped so it works just as well as a thicker version.
