Product Description
USS DANIEL WEBSTER (SSBN 626) is a US Navy nuclear-powered Fleet Ballistic Missile submarine of the Lafayette class. She was constructed with diving planes mounted on a "mini-sail" on the bow to reduce propoising at periscope depth. These were nick-named "funny fins" and were removed for traditional fairwater planes during an overhaul in the mid 1970's.
