Product Description
A short dosing funnel that fits over a standard 58mm portafilter basket, with a cross bar that acts like a flattening chisel.
SIZE: (current selection, please message me if you have different sizes/requirements) Large suits commercial 58mm portafilters. Small is for 49mm. Leaving medium intended for one of the ones in the middle, 54 or similar, depending on who wants what.
Note: I have yet to receive my updated prototype, so purchase is at your own risk for now. I've made changes since my first test print.
Initial version had the following issues hopefully corrected;
The base didn't sit easily on the top of the filter, as it was too narrow, the new version is widened significantly above the 58mm insert.
The funnel itself was too wide to fit on top of my filter while mounted in my grinder. Not everyone would have that issue, but I did, so I narrowed the filter top. Hopefully enough.
When distributing grinds, the blades weren't tall enough, so coffee would flow over them. It still worked, but took a long time. Taller blades should at least alleviate this issue. I suspect I'll make changes to the blades every time I print one of these. Design of such things strikes me as an iterative process.
