A brutal combination of the ubiquitous chainsword and the ancient technology of putting a slab of metal between the bearer and the person trying to kill them, the Chainshield is a decidedly rare weapon amongst the arsenal of mankind. Despite allowing warriors to not have to choose between personal defence and carrying a hand-to-hand combat weapon, the incredible mass and unwieldy size prevented any but the strongest from using them.
The Chainshield is designed to be compatible with 28mm heroic scale miniatures, particularly those of a more technologically advanced design, and could represent a variety of weapons and shield options. Mixed Chainshields are available only from White Wyvern Designs as sets of 3 Left-handed Chainshields and 2 Right-handed Chainshields for a total of 5 Chainshields (Small) and 5 Left-handed Chainshields and 5 Right-handed Chainshields for a total of 10 Chainshields (Large).
Chainshields are also available in sets composed entirely of Left-handed Chainshields or Right-handed Chainshields.
