1/350 Refit Deflector Dish and Housing Replacement

This set is now available as two separate and cheaper products:
The Defector Dish in clear plastic
The Deflector Housing in opaque plastic

This is a whopper of a part that replaces the entire deflector housing on the Polar Light 1/350 Refit Enterprise. It also replaces the clear dish as well as the three "space energy field sensor" details. What's so great about this paint-and-go part:

• Details missing from the kit part are present, such as a scribe line that passes through the control thrusters
• The side sensors now have raised details instead of recessed ones, just like the studio model
• The previously parallel lines in front of the sensors now converge slightly like on the studio model.
• The holes that ring the deflector dish are hollow, so no masking or photoetch is necessary.
• The holes in the thrusters are hollow so they can be lit with no drilling or masking.

The dish itself is included as a separate part. What makes it great is that it mimicks the studio model with is smooth outer surface. The material it's printed in is frosted clear so just sand it a bit and put a gloss coat on it.  Just as the studio model embedded the concentric lines in the rear of the dish, this part has  indentations on it's rear that allow you to flow paint in or fill with a light blocking material. Or both!
