N Gauge Sturrock Single Loco Scratch Aid

This is an N Gauge model of Archibald Sturrock’s GNR ‘Single’ No. 215 – the first British express engine with a pivoting bogie. Although the prototype required modifications to improve the bogie, it proved the viability of a London-Edinburgh service inside eight hours.

Combined with the Sturrock Single Bogie pack and Sturrock Single tender (both separately available) these produce a free-rolling model which in conjunction with our motorised and generic 4 and 6-wheel coaches available can make a complete and fully operational vintage train.

Necessary to Complete:
3D-printed ‘Single’ wheels (separately available) OR Graham Farish Royal Scot driving wheels
X3 Spoked wagon wheels
Couplings (the method used is at the builder's discretion)
Weight (the boiler is hollow – best fitted in the firebox)
Styrene strip – to retain wheels
Pin (for bogie mount)
