Black Hole Pendant

A singularity that bends space-time itself. A black hole. A cosmic entity with a gravitational pull is so strong that even light itself cannot escape it.

As a massive star reaches the end of its life there is a chance that it will collapse under its own weight. Gravity pulls the enormous mass of the star in on itself into a single point at its center forming what is called a singularity. As one approaches a black hole, time moves slower. Much slower. The entire universe can live its course in what seems like a blink of an eye. We cannot observe events beyond a certain point near a black hole. Beyond the event horizon lies one of the final mysteries of the universe. After a black hole is formed all conventional laws of physics break down.
