Galactika drilled Command Bridge for the Mobius kit
If you have a BSG Mobius and you want to upgrade the command bridge, you will need this part!
This is a new version of the bridge, with standard heigth and pre drilled holes for 0.25 mm fiber optics.
This is a quasi perfect replica of the filming model used on the BSG film. It matches all the little details, lines and shapes of the original filming model. Screen accurate as much as possible.
And it has more than 30 pre drilled holes for 0.25 mm fiber optics!!!
It has the perfect size to match the big Battlestar; this part is 22 x 17 mm -without the slope-.
The bridge has a skirt at the bottom that you can sand to match the slope of the hull.

ATTENTION : HOW TO CLEAN THE PRE DRILLED HOLES!!!
The pre drilled holes are stuck with wax. You must get rid of the wax.
The PolyJet printer uses wax as a support material, so you must eliminate all the wax and all the oils that they use to clean the wax residues.
The SFDP parts are printed with wax as a support material. The wax enters on the holes and get stuck in the very tiny holes (0.5 and 0.25 mm).
To clean the part, you can use several solutions, or all together:
-Use an ultrasonic bath, like the ones used by the jewellers, with water and a degreaser.
-Use only a degreaser, like Simple Green or dish washing liquid; soak the parts thoroughly, gently go over them with a soft toothbrush, and rinse. You can repeat the process several times (make a test with an expendable part). I've tested this and no problems.
-You can use also warm water, max. 50º. Watch out with very tiny parts... They can melt!!! So, don't use hot water on parts with very thin wires or very thin walls.
-You can use a hair dryer to melt down the wax but be careful to avoid melting the plastic too!!! Be very careful. After that you can soak the part on a degreaser again.
I’ve tested also using a contact cleaner spray, and it works, but I recommend doing a test with an expendable part.
-I've tested 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean SFDP parts. Soak the parts for about a minute, gently go over them with a soft toothbrush, rinse them in the alcohol bath, and let dry.
-You can use also acetone but watch out!!! Don't use it on very small hairy parts... Acetone is very aggressive and melts the plastic... Soak for two-five seconds and rinse with water. Repeat if necessary.
After that I recommend using a steel guitar chord to remove the remaining wax on the holes. The latest solution is to drill the wax with a 0.3 mm hand drill.
