Product Description
This dovetail saw guide makes cutting dovetails effortless. The guide ensures your saw doesn't vere off path, unintentionally resulting in dovetails with too much play. For the perfect dovetail place your saw on your layout lines and place the guide flush against your saw. Hold the guide firmly in place and cut away! This guide creates the perfect cut removing the need to chisel away exess material and ensures you dont remove too much.
MODIFICATIONS
Although the guide could be used as is there are some modifications that can be done to make cutting dovetails even easier.
1. Magnets
The four holes on either side of the guide are intended to receive 8x3 mm magnets (readily availible on Amazon) that help hold the saw flush against the guide. The magnets could be held in place with crazy glue or epoxy.
2. Sand Paper
Sand paper can be glued to the guide on the surfaces that are in contact with the wood. This creates friction maying it easier to hold the jig in place as you saw.
3. Packing Tape
Packing tape could be placed on the sides with the magnets to reduce friction between the saw and the guide. This modifications just keeps the guide look nice over time but isn't necissary at all.
