Thrips Earrings - Entomology Jewelry

These earrings depict the insect "Thrips" of the order Thysanoptera. Thrips are tiny insects approximately 1 mm in length. They have slender bodies and feather-like wings that cause them to fly slowly by an unusual "clap and fling" method.  They feed on plants by sucking and are a major pest of crop plants and greenhouses.

The earrings are 1.8 cm (0.7 inches) below the loop.
Each earrings weighs just 3.7 g, making them comfortable to wear.
