Heisler flat top with water filler - On30

The Bachmann On30 Heisler is a great little engine with one flaw - no water filler on the tender.  The cast fuel load drop-ins that came with the loco don't lend themselves to easy modification.  To fix this issue, this is one of three drop-in replacements for the Heisler.  You may be thinking - Where's the coal option? and Why not real wood?  Coal is just a pain to model and few cast loads look good.  So, I'm not providing one.  Instead, this drop-in replacement gives you the water filler and a blank slate.  You want coal, pile on your favorite scale coal.  You want real wood, start stacking it on.  My oil bunker not to your liking, add your own creation.

Fine detail plastic can be brittle if mishandled.  Take care when cleaning and painting these items.  These should be cleaned with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft brush (like a child's soft toothbrush).  Rinse soapy water thoroughly and allow to dry.  Wipe the surface with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alchohol (don't soak the item).  Using a quality primer, spray the drop-in.  Allow this to dry/cure completely.  Paint and weather as you see fit.
