Product Description
The MCD 392 is an obscure design concept for a super heavy bomber that was developed during WW2 by the American Materiel Command Design (MCD). The size of the aircraft was staggering, with a wingspan of between 280 and 321 feet, capable of carrying a bomb load of up to 120,000 lbs, and flying up to 12,000 miles (not with max bomb load). I have chosen to model the "A" variant because that is the model with the best reference material. However, there are also some interesting illustrations of the base model that can be found online as well.
The scale of the model is approximately 1:1257, and it has been scaled to roughly align with models produced by Historical Board Gaming (HBG). However, this is not an HBG product.
