Do run a dropper post made by a company that sounds like andrew johnson...
They did do an under the seat lever but after someone tried to sue them for being a div when they crashed whilst trying to drop and ride so they stopped making them.
Disclamer applies to this after market bolt on, don't try and take your hand off the bars to drop your post whilst riding down gnarly single track....if you do and ride into a tree it's your own daft fault!!!!
Also as it's plastic in a crash it should snap rather than impale your leg
