Product Description
This "cage-o-pivot-balls" will get you 16 pivot balls (ONE full set) for all your link swapping and maintenance needs.
We had to put them in a cage so Shapeways will treat them as one piece, to keep the price low. They're too small to tree without adding "bumps" to the sides, no good.
-To Install-
Snip "cage" open
Remove old pivot ball
Install new pivot ball
Wiggle around a little if it's really tight.
-Material Options-
Versatile Plastic and MultiJet fusion are very similar base materials, Nylon. Multijet Fusion is sintered with the selected color while Versatile Plastic is sintered white and then dyed the selected color. Multijet also offers a glass bead option.
-Notes-
Shapeways has a .1mm stated tolerance so you might need to wiggle them around if they're really tight. They all fit tight but good when we got the prototypes.
