This is a model of an Antenna for an RFID scanner, used by modern (late 90s onward) North American Railroads to track rolling stock. These are commonly seen at yard exits and entrances and junctions. The model represents the antenna housing and has brackets on the back that can be glued to .040 wire or tubing, representing the mast. I the backing plates in ethced brass, which at a prototype 1/2" thick will not print even in Frosted Extreme Detail or you can fabricate your own back plate from .005 Styrene or brass sheet. Contact me through this site if you are intersted in the etched brass backing plates.
This part was deisgned designed by my friend Jason Hill of Owl Mountain Models, you can visit his store at owlmtmodels
