It's dark. You've stayed out late. You yearn for your bed. But, of course, your bike light has run out of battery.
At least you have your phone, and a FLARE strapped to your handlebars. Turn on the torch on your phone, pop it in and you're legal and ready to go.
FLARE comes in two flavours: FLAREfold and FLAREform.
FLAREfold is a 2D downloadable cut and fold mount that turns your phone into an emergency bike light. Print out the .pdf template, stick it to any rigid material you like (we recommend pizza box cardboard) then cut out with a craft knife or scissors and fold. You'll also need four rubber bands and a pen or pencil to attach the mount and phone to the bike.
FLAREform is a 3D plastic version of the mount, suitable for mass production or 3D printing. You'll also need three rubber bands to attach the mount and phone to the bike.
Both flavours of FLARE will accommodate any smartphone, held in place with rubber bands. The mount is easily fitted to your handlebars, also using rubber bands. You can also fit it to your seatpost, set your phone's wallpaper to our red image and use your screen's display as a rear bike light.
