Product Description

This bracket is attached to the chassis using the tab on the back of the chassis to align it and then screwed to two holes that must be drilled into the chassis. Use self tapping screws to attach it by threading into the brace from inside the battery bay. This allows the articulation needed for the Grasshopper II without the flopping of the rear end under acceleration. It captures the leading edge of the transmission without any damage to the trans case or battery door. Please make sure you clean/drill the mounting holes with a 2.5mm bit (holes are currently 2.5 but need to be cleared out) or standard equivalant. Make note that only the screw hole with the boss is needed to hold this in place. The other can be used if the screw is short enough to not protrude from the face of the brace. Any protrusion of this screw will case it to come into contact with the transmission and cause binding.

SUPER HORNET OWNERS - Be aware that due to the geometry of the rear shocks and the lower shock mount, this will limit the shock travel as the Super Hornet needs the trans to be pushed all the way down on the sliders for the shocks to operate to max stroke. This is not really an issue as under real driving condituins, this type of compression is not possilble and therefore this brace will only aid your car.
