The
Aeronautica Lombarda Assalto Radioguidato was a prototype remote controlled
flying bomb developed by
Aeronautica Lombarda under request from the
Regia Aeronautica.
Its intended use was to attack the British fleet in the Mediterranean sea.
It flew for the first time in June 1943 and only two examples were built, with registrations
MM.75576 and
MM.75577. It was not completelly autonomous and an human pilot had to bring the airplane to the air and then bail out (on a similar fashion as the Operation Aphrodite BQs)
The project was canceled by the German authorities after they seized the command of the Regia Aeronautica in September 1943.
This model is a direct re-scale from our
