Product Description
Created as a special commission, this "Dire Wolf" version of the Ashigara cruiser has had its hull extended by 22 meters, creating an additional space for missile and fuel stowage as well as a large arboretum for the enjoyment of her crew. This model were used as squadron leaders for heavy cruiser squadrons throughout the war.

Originally intended as simply an antimatter-power conversion of the Pioneer class, the Ashigara project suffered from a massive case of Creeping Featurism. The end result was as big as the Bison-class transports the Pioneers had been derived from, with triple its armamnets and endurance and a considerably better turn of speed. Ashigara-class cruisers would serve with renown throughout the War and for decades after, their robust spaceframes cheaper to upgrade than replace as technology advanced.

UES Yonehara (CH-51), awarded twelve battle stars and numerous merit citations, has been restored to her wartime configration and is on display at the Fleet Museum.

An original design inspired by the art of Masao Okazaki. Used with permission. This model is offered in different scales for your gaming pleasure - the version you are currently viewing is in 1/3125 scale for use with large gaming miniatures. This model has been hollowed out to reduce printing costs.
