Product Description
This is an active cooling case designed for maximum air flow and exceptional cooling while protecting the single board computer from metallic incursions that could cause damage.
The case design is employs the use of M2 brass heat sets in the lid, and black oxide M2 screws as well as a single M3 heatset and grub screw to retain the fan in the lid. The sample photos show the use of a Noctua 40mm fan, however, most any 40mm fan would be compatible with the fan opening in the lid. The noctua 40mm fan was selected because it is very quiet, provides superior air through-put and includes a handy USB plug to easily interface the fan to the Raspberry Pi 5.
If you choose not to use brass heatsets and screws for your case, you may simply use slightly longer screws and nuts and use those to fasten the case to your Raspberry Pi 5.
The base of the case is the long rectangular piece that has the large 5 embedded into the design. The thin four-point spacer goes in between the bottom of the case and the bottom of the Pi5. The tall four-point spacer is placed on the top surface of the Pi 5 followed by the fan top going on top of that. Screws pass through the four corners and fasten the entire unit into a solid, protected integrated package.
