Product Description
This item is an assortment of trackside indication posts styled to match the New Haven Railroad’s early years. The three types included in this pack are:
"W" or Whistle Post - Indicate when the engineer is to sound the whistle. Generally before a level crossing.
"A" or Activation Post - Indicate when the level crossing gates will start to flash, ring and lower gates.
& "R" or Ring the Bell Post- Indicate when the engineer is to start rining the locomotives bell.
These post were designed based off actual prototype measurements. The Valley Railroad, commonly known as the Essex Steam Train & Riverboat, a former branch of the New Haven still uses these posts along its route from Old Saybrook, CT to Middletown, CT. They are prototypically painted white with black lettering. They are used as listed above or to help indicate where a crossings electrical circuit limits are along the line.
These markers just need a fresh coat of paint before installation on your layout. Easily customize them to match your freelance or prototype to add just another point of realism to your home or club layout.
