Ever observed the passing rear of the bmw tailgate? An amlgamated juxtaposition, i kid you not, of two overlapping surfaces, namelt the rear trunk door, and the rest of the car. How these two shapes sit together, obviously, theres a trunk door that must by funtion close, to contain the luggage. however theres more to it than that. for the two shapes dont quite fit, visually. however they definitely perfectly fit mechanically, for it a trunk door, and how many car trunk doors do you know that dont close perfectly? yes, none. and there lies the paradox, for within the perfectly seamless meeting of door and car, is also displayed an impossible meeting of disjointed graphics. that was the inspiration for this one.
