Product Description
This is a sample output of Edward Lorenz's 1963 weather simulation program with only 3 simple differential equations that kicked off chaos theory! This system of equations kept producing different results with what seemed to be exactly the same inputs. Tiny round-off errors in the computer had produced large changes in the final output. The output path looks a little bit like the butterfly whose flapping wings may have affected the path of a hurricane weeks later, in Lorenz's famous metaphor, now called "the butterfly effect", describing how small differences in intial conditions can cause large changes farther down the timeline. This version of the Lorenz attractor has threads with a diameter of 1.54 mm. It will print in Metallic Plastic. Steel materials will likely requre thicker wires, but if you order, we will find out.....
