MDC End Platforms 6 - Trinity Post 1983 Style

These are replacement ends for the MDC tank car kits. The ends have a proper center sill, and correct saddles for different builders.

The MDC 50 foot tank car kit represents a T105 class car with a 20,000 gallon capacity.

This saddle style represents cars manufactured by Trinity after 1983.

Additional detail parts required:

• Plano Products #13050 - MDC Tank Car platforms
• A-Line #29000 - Style "A" stirrup steps
• Details West or Tichy drop-style grab irons
• 2-56 x 1/8" screws

Holes for the grab irons, steps, and end railings are pre-printed and just need to be cleaned out.
Use #77 drill on sides and ends for grabs, #76 for stirrup steps, and #75 for end railings.

Trim the corners of the Plano end platform etchings to clear the end railing mount holes.

The vertical support for the brake lines is only for printing and should be removed.

NOTE: The coupler lid screw holes MUST be tapped before inserting screws.  The Fine Detail material is quite brittle, and the material around the hole will shatter from the pressure if you try to force a screw in an unthreaded hole.
