Fw 190 A-4
The Fw 190 A-4 started production in July 1942 and differs from the A-3 with an updated radio set, antenna mast and a engine modification that was never fully implemented due to production delays.
Standard armament was two 7.92 mm MG 17 machine guns in the fuselage, two 20 mm MG 151/20 cannons in the wing root and two wing-mounted 20 mm MG FF/M cannons.
The FW 190 A-4 was often modified to carry a bomb or two rockets, generally requiring the removal of the two MG FF/M cannons in the wings.
