Kawanishi N1K1-J Shiden (George). The Shiden (Violet LIghtning) was a land-based development of the N1K1 Kyofu ("Rex," also available). It was one of the very best Japanese fighters, competitive with the leading Allied types. This is the early version with mid-wing and long landing gear. Over a thousand were built.
