Design study for a heavy fighter from 1938, one of a number of competing designs created in response to official requirements specification F18/37 for a future replacement for the Spitfire and Hurricane fighters then entering service. Gloster's pusher design, using the untried Napier Sabre engine, was apparently thought to be too experimental and was not followed up.
Modelling note, the design actually had 12 guns mounted in the nose, I have reduced this to 8 as otherwise the individual barrels would be too small to print correctly.
