Product Description
The Victorian Railways V class (diesel-hydraulic) consisted of a single locomotive (V56), the smallest locomotive ever owned by VR. It was built as a shunter for the Jolimont Workshops to move suburbian sets through the wash docks. Given the single engine of this class and its unique appearance, the V56 has become somewhat iconic, despite having been retired from service in the 1990s.
This product has been designed to fit a Tsugawa Yokou TU TMC -100 mechanism which measures only 32.8 mm in length! Due to the small size of this model, consideration has needed to be taken with the rear aspect of the design in order to appropriately hide this mechanism - This can be seen as a square block behind the drivers cabin which is not present in the prototype.
Guide holes have also provided for the installation of 0.4 mm brass wire for the side and rear hand-rails.
